Club Background & Information:
The Fiero Road club of northern Nevada was founded in 1987. 3 of our founding members met at a local Wendy's restaurant for
lunch and the club was born. They have all since moved on. But the club lives on. Our first election was in Nov 1987.
Our first official event was a road trip to Virginia City, NV for lunch in June of 1987. This is an annual event still. We
participate in car shows, parades, drives, picnics, holiday parties and more.
We
started the club newsletter back in 1987 entitled Fiero
Fascination. It is still our official publication. We have used this tool to communicate with and unite clubs across
the US. We also have an official website which was started in the early 1990s. We have club bylaws that were written by the
club officers/directors with assistance from other local car clubs and national car clubs. These are to maintain safety and
organization of the club, its members and assets.
Our board of directors is composed of the 5 longest standing members of the club. They are here to
uphold the bylaws should a problem arise. We have had numerous meeting places including several locations of Round Table,
Pizza Hut, A & W, even a Chevrolet dealership and The Fourth Turn race car memorabilia theme restaurant. We currently
do not meet for meetings all the time. All information is done by phone or E-mail. On some weekends we wash cars together and just talk Fiero's, get update information.
At times we go have lunch and talk about events or shows.
We have participated in the Sparks
and Reno and Virginia City holiday parades for the last 19 years. We have several founding members still in the club as well
as many new ones. All Fiero Owners are welcome. Currently we hold elections
every 4 years.
